Village of Hope (the unfinished version)
This is a short video I'm working on. I need music and a voiceover (someone with a good voice) and some changes and corrections. Any suggestions or corrections would be appreciated.
Thanks and God Bless.

Painted June 18, 2009
As we prepared to leave the village many parents brought their children to be photographed in their very best clothes, (I don't know if this was because we were leaving or if it was because it was a tradition to get dressed up on the first day of the new year, I suspect it is the later) This was painted from one of those photo's.

Daves painting continues
Burying the Dog
oil on board 8x10
It's about deciding to leave the past behind. It's about allowing your self to go forward. It's about forgetting.
Daves Bones

As I get older I think more about death but not in a bad way. In this painting Death is dancing to the tune of the Fiddler. Usually it's Death that plays the tune.

A Prayer for the Village
oil on board 8x10
Just down the road from the village some local Christians have created a Church in the woods. They cleared a space to hold services and painted the tree trunks white. In my painting I've taken liberties with the location, it's not so obvious in reality (and there is no crucifix). This Church has inspired several paintings so far.

This panting is actually inspired by my wife Sandy. I see her going forward through life chasing after what is "Good" and fighting for what is "Right" regardless of fear or consiquences. She is my Hero.
She runs through a dark forest trying to catch a firefly with dark dogs (representing fear of the unknown) chasing after but she is unconcerned with them.
